Where does cashmere come from?
Cashmere is a type of wool that comes from the soft underbelly of the Kashmir goat, which is native to the Himalayan region of India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, China, Mongolia, and Iran.

How to wash cashmere?
It is always recommended to read the care label of your cashmere garment before attempting to wash it at home. Most cashmere fabrics can be washed with cool water using a cashmere shampoo or mild detergent. If the piece includes fur, however, it should only be dry-cleaned by a furrier or dry cleaner who specializes in cleaning fur. This will help to prevent any potential damage to the texture. Any real fur product should not be attempted to wash from home.

Is cashmere warm?
Cashmere is an ideal fabric for staying warm without getting too hot. Its heat-retaining properties enable it to maintain your natural body temperature, while its breathability allows for ventilation making it a better option for warmth than wool.

How to store cashmere?
Cashmere should be folded and placed in breathable storage bags to decrease the chances of moisture buildup. For added protection, anti-moth pouches can be added in between the cashmere garments. Cashmere clothing should never be stored hanging as it may cause stretching.
